Update on Morley Train Station Upgrades

Following my letter on the 20th of November to Mr David Brown, Managing Director of Northern Rail regarding upgrades to Morley Train Station, such as a new seating area and the installation of a ticket machine, I have received a response outlining that the works “to complete the shelter refurbishments and installation of a new ticket vending machine should be completed shortly. I understand our Contractors have this within their fortnightly program”.

These upgrades were promised after a meeting I held with Northern Rail in February 2017, and I know that many residents would find a ticket machine in particular to be a considerable improvement to their commute. Therefore I am pleased that this assurance has been given and look forward to seeing these improvements soon.
