ANDREA JENKYNS
More good news for jobs figures locally

Andrea has welcomed the latest jobs figures, which show 1392 less people claiming key out of work benefits since 2010 in Morley and Outwood, a 64% drop.

Across the region of Yorkshire and Humber there are 200,000 more people in work since 2010.

Andrea is in regular contact with local businesses and employers, conducting a regular business visit campaign called ‘On the Shop Floor.’ Through these visits she learns about local job opportunities and what businesses need, both locally and through Government.

Andrea also hosts annual jobs fairs, in order to connect constituents with employers.

Commenting on the latest jobs figures, Andrea stated:

“I am delighted with the continuing fall in the number of people claiming key out work benefits.”

“These figures show more people are earning valuable wages and are able to support themselves and their families.”

“We can’t stop here, however. I will keep working to make sure even more people can enjoy the feeling of bringing a wage home.”
