Next MOBA Event: with Economic Secretary

Economic Secretary to the Treasury, Nicky Morgan MP

The first event for the Morley and Outwood Business Association (MOBA) last month was well attended with some 35 people there from a wide range of businesses ranging from small, independent retailers up to one of the largest companies in Yorkshire.

We had some very positive feedback from people saying they had found it interesting and informative and that this was an initiative they welcomed and would continue to support. 

 To maintain the momentum, we are pleased to say that the next event will be with the Economic Secretary to the Treasury, Nicky Morgan MP. Her direct responsibilities include EU issues, environment and transport taxation, energy policy and excise duties (e.g VAT and petrol duty). Obviously, as part of the Treasury team, she will be able to discuss and take back any issues relevant to tax and expenditure.

The event with Nicky will be on Monday 14th April at 2.30-4.30pm in the large banqueting room at Morley Town Hall. The format will be the same as the last one with everyone mingling and the Minister coming round meeting and listening to people. Refreshments will be available.
