I was proud to chair an excellent session of the APPG on Economic Development with the Institute of Economic Development, looking specifically at how we can regenerate the British high street.
Fascinating contributions from both Matthew Colledge and Prof Cathy Parker on turning around our town centres.
As residents will know, I am passionate about ensuring our high streets thrive well into the future- I have launched a campaign called ‘Towns of the Future’ which aims to protect existing shops and ensure our high streets are prepared for the future of local towns.
