ANDREA JENKYNS
Andrea Jenkyns meets with Philip Ball
On Thursday 6h March, Andrea Jenkyns the Conservative Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Morley and Outwood met with Philip Ball, the Managing Director of Eastman Kodak to discuss the situation regarding the proposed redundancies.
Andrea said, ‘this is clearly worrying news, especially for those working for Eastman Kodak. I met with Mr Ball today to get a better understanding of the situation and to offer my full support and assistance. Having worked in industry, I understand what difficult and delicate times lie ahead for those who are affected by this. Meeting with Philip Ball and considering his vast experience, which includes being involved with the Local Enterprise Partnership, I am confident that the employees are at the forefront of these negotiations and he is doing all he can to offer his support.
I have already spoken to Matthew Hancock MP, the Minister for State for Skills and Enterprise and made him fully aware of the situation. He tells me that the Government will do all they can to support those who are facing redundancy, as will I.
