Lofthouse Brass Band

On Friday evening I went to watch Lofthouse Brass Band performing at Outwood Working Men’s Club. The group was very talented and the music was both rousing and uplifting. To catch their latest concerts please visit their website; http://www.lofthousebrassband.org.uk/

Then followed the ‘New York Brass Band’ who are sponsored by the Arts Council; are playing at Glastonbury this year, and am told at one of the members of Mc Fly’s wedding. They were so energetic, original and I am sure it won’t be long until someone signs them up.  They are ‘New Orleans inspired music from the mean streets of York, North Yorkshire, UK’, and the The Guardian newspaper reviewed them and stated that they are, “A must-see, stomping genre-splicing brass outfit.” They all sing, dance as well as play beautifully.
