Cottingley Springs Expansion Stopped

"I am pleased that the Secretary of State has rejected the proposed expansion of the Cottingley Springs traveller site. Having campaigned against this since it was first proposed, along side Morley Against Reckless Constitution and local councilors, I believe this is the right decision for Morley and surrounding communities."

Andrea Jenkyns, the local candidate for the Conservatives in May’s general election went back to the shop floor on Saturday. She visited Cadeaux of Queen Street, Morley, where she spent the morning working as their apprentice, to add to her understanding about the issues local retailers face and how they will benefit from last Wednesday’s budget.

Conservative Prospective Parliamentary Candidate Andrea Jenkyns has today pledged to support local pubs and breweries. She took Ruth Priestley and David Rhodes from Morley’s Oscars Bar to a CAMRA industry event  in Sheffield as she thought it would be useful to introduce them to other industry professionals.

As the countdown to the General Election continues, many more people are taking an active interest in politics and considering who to vote for.  Some people base their decision on national issues and party leaders, some on local issues and candidates - for most voters it is a mixture of both.  As the Conservative candidate for Morley & Outwood, most work I've done has been on local issues. It will continue if I am elected as MP.
