Heroes Concert raises money for good causes

I organised a charity concert in aid of Leeds Womens' Aid and Help for Heroes. It attracted dozens of attendees and raised over £800 for the charities.

Supporting Jobseekers

Andrea Jenkyns, the Conservative participated in the ‘Leeds Hub’ event by holding mock job interviews and CV preparation with local jobseekers.  She was asked to get involved following a discussion with the Job Centre when they exhibited at Andrea’s recent Jobs Fair in Morley, and due to her twenty years background in management in which she has conducted a considerable amount of job interviews over the years.

Remembrance Weekend in Morley

Remembrance weekend in Morley was marked by two solemn, well attended events, The Morley Festival of Remembrance on Friday the 7th of November at Morley town Hall, and the Remembrance Sunday Service. Prospective Conservative MP for Morley and Outwood Andrea Jenkyns attended both events, including singing in Festival of Remembrance.

Tax cut supporting jobs and backing businesses in Morley and Outwood

Andrea Jenkyns has welcomed new figures released today showing that 1,000 businesses in Morley and Outwood are benefitting from the Government’s Employment Allowance since its introduction in April, making it easier for businesses to hire staff and create jobs.

Food Minister Visits Morley High Street

The Food Minister Elizabeth Truss visited businesses on Morley High Street to see the best of local and British produce. Elizabeth, who grew up in Leeds and is the Secretary of State for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, visited Morrisons, Bennetts Butchers and Mi’ Mam’s Food Company. She was accompanied on her visit by local Conservative parliamentary candidate Andrea Jenkyns.

Morley and Outwood Jobs Fair attracts hundreds

A jobs fair, organised by Conservative candidate Andrea Jenkyns, attracted over 300 job seekers to Morley Town Hall. The Morley and Outwood Jobs and Skills Fair was organised by local Conservative parliamentary candidate Andrea Jenkyns to promote jobs and apprenticeships in the constituency. At the event, sponsored by Associated Waste Management and Corecom Consulting, over 300 visitors met representatives of 30 organisations, who were advertising jobs, apprenticeships and opportunities.
