Andrea dicusses bail houses with Policing Minister Damian Green

Prospective parliamentary candidate Andrea Jenkyns invited Policing Minister Damian Green up to meet with Morley Police Inspector Steve Sullivan to discuss the great work Yorkshire police are doing with internet safety for schools and how they are working with partners to clean up the local area, Andrea and the Inspector also discussed the issues regarding the bail house situation down the High Street.

Eric Pickles meets Morley Market Traders

Following an advert in the Morley Observer advertising a meeting to set up a new group; ‘Friends of Morley Market,’ it prompted Andrea Jenkyns to invite Secretary of State and Yorkshireman Eric Pickles to meet local market traders.

How the council are spending your money

I invited Eric to meet with Leeds City and Wakefield Metropolitan councillors today after it was brought to my attention the way in which tax payers money has been spent by the councils. 

Transport Minister visits Morley

Prospective parliamentary candidate Andrea Jenkyns invited Transport Minister Robert Goodwill to visit a local business today to discuss the barriers that some local firms face due to European legislation.

Prime Minister and Chancellor Visit

The Prime Minister David Cameron and Chancellor George Osborne visited a local business today. Firstly they both had a tour of the Coke Cola factory and then accompanied by Conservative Prospective Parliamentary Candidate Andrea Jenkyns they met with three local apprentices who have undertaken a programme with Coke Cola.

Lofthouse Brass Band

On Friday evening I went to watch Lofthouse Brass Band performing at Outwood Working Men’s Club. The group was very talented and the music was both rousing and uplifting.

Bruntcliffe School

A couple of weeks ago I visited Bruntcliffe School and met with Head Teacher Heather Scott. During the meeting her passion and commitment for the school along with the vision of where she thinks the school deserves to be is clearly evident.
