Improving transport for our commuters and for the community is one of the key commitments of my plan for Morley. I am fighting to improve our roads, our rail, and our bus services for the residents in our local area.
Today I bumped into very friendly and passionate Brexiteers outside Parliament, it was great to chat to them about Brexit and thank them for their commitment to keep fighting to honour the Brexit referendum result.
It was no surprise to me that the Prime Minister decided to postpone the vote on her Withdrawal Agreement. With 100 of her own MPs, plus the DUP, planning to vote against it, a loss on such a scale would have surely meant the end of her premiership.
Across the country, and our region, crime rates are sadly increasing. In particular there has been an increase in both anti-social behaviour related offences, and violent crimes. This is a worrying trend and more must be done to fight back to keep crime rates low and our communities safe.
Following meetings Andrea held with local stakeholders and Transport ministers over the years, and most recently Andrea's letter to the Managing Director of Northern Rail, Morley Railway Station has finally received the upgrades she has been campaigning for.
