Following my letter on the 20th of November to Mr David Brown, Managing Director of Northern Rail regarding upgrades to Morley Train Station, such as a new seating area and the installation of a ticket machine, I have received a response outlining that the works "to complete the shelter refurbishments and installation of a new ticket vending machine should be completed shortly. I understand our Contractors have this within their fortnightly program".
These upgrades were promised after a meeting I held with Northern Rail in February 2017, and I know that many residents would find a ticket machine in particular to be a considerable improvement to their commute. Therefore I am pleased that this assurance has been given and look forward to seeing these improvements soon.
