As I’m sure you’ve seen I have lots of events coming up throughout March to offer a range of advice and support to residents on a number of topics.
Today, March 1st, I am holding another of my regular Memory Cafes between 12 noon and 2pm in Outwood Memorial Hall, to support those living with dementia and memory loss. It is always great to catch up with regular attendees and I’m pleased that so many people enjoy coming along for a chat and a cuppa in this warm and friendly environment.
All residents are welcome and I look forward to seeing everyone today!
On Thursday, March 7th, I am holding another Morley and Outwood Business Association (MOBA) event. I set up MOBA back in 2014 in order to support local businesses and grow our economy. This time, we will be joined by Minister of State for School Standards Nick Gibb, who I’m sure will discuss the link between education and employment.
I look forward to the discussions taking place between our local business owners and the Minister, we must ensure that our education system properly prepares young people for the world of work and I’m sure that this event will be beneficial for business owners. If you own or work in a local business, please feel free to contact my office for further details: Andrea.Jenkyns.MP@Parliament.UK
Next Friday, I am holding my Health Fair in Morley Town Hall.
We have a wide range of stall holders that can offer advice regarding long term and serious illnesses, support for mental health, or information about local leisure and exercise organisations. I hope it will help all of us lead healthier and happier lives.
This event is free for all residents, so why not pop in and see us on Friday March 8th between 11:30am and 2pm!
Finally, I am pleased to be holding a Pensions Advice Surgery on Queen Street in Morley. I have invited pension’s experts to attend and offer free advice and support to residents about pensions, and the options available.
Join me and the pension's advice experts, March 15th on Queen Street between 11am and 1pm. There is no need for an appointment, simply pop along to Queen Street outside my Morley Office for a chat!
I hope that residents who need help or support for any area, be this physical or mental health, pensions, business, or dementia, will come along to one or more of my upcoming events and find the help they need.
As always, if you ever have an issue you feel I can be of assistance with, please do not hesitate to contact me on: Andrea.Jenkyns.MP@Parliament.UK
