From Monday, our area, and the rest of West Yorkshire, will be placed in tier 3 COVID restrictions - the highest alert level.
A package of £59.3 million of financial support has been secured for people and businesses across West Yorkshire.
This means:
Pubs and bars must close, unless they operate as if they are a restaurant - serving substantial meals. They can only serve alcohol as part of this meal.
You must not meet anyone outside your household, or support bubble, in indoor or outdoor settings. The rule of six applies in public spaces, such as parks, beaches, and the countryside.
You should avoid travelling outside your tier 3 area, or travelling into another tier 3 area, other than for education, work, access to youth services, or to provide care.
You should avoid staying overnight in other parts of the country.
You can have up to 15 guests at a wedding, or 30 guests at a funeral. 15 guests are permitted at wakes, but wedding receptions are not allowed.
You should work from home wherever possible.
Places of worship remain open, but must follow COVID secure guidelines.
Gyms may remain open, but indoor exercise classes should not take place.
We must do all we can to stop the spread of the virus. Wash your hands for 20 seconds, cover your face in all enclosed spaces, and keep at least 2 metres apart from others - or 1 metre with precautions.
