I arranged for MARC (Morley Against Reckless Construction) group and Cllr Finnigan to meet with the Planning Minister Nick Boles to discuss the LDF.
I like them have deep concerns over the viability of the Leeds City Council’s proposal to build 8000 homes in the Morley area. I am not against development per see, as with our expanding population we do need more homes. However, I am concerned whether the infrastructure can cope with these development plans, and would like to see further investigation into options to firstly make better use of our brownfield sites, that there is a detailed plan regarding infrastructure and would like to see more affordable homes being built that local residents and first time buyers can afford.
I am grateful to Nick Boles for both his time and the advice that he gave the group.
