Today, I asked the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Matt Hancock, about the vaccine distribution programme.
I have been contacted by a number of residents who are concerned about the potential distance between themselves and a vaccination centre. Further, many who are sheilding or vulnerable are anxious to get their vaccination quickly and have asked about the priortisation list.
I am pleased that the Minister confirmed that everybody in Morley and Outwood, along with 96% of everyone in England, is within 10 miles of a vaccination centre. I also welcome that he will note residents' concerns and continue to move at pace to deliver the vaccine in a fair way and in a way that saves as many lives as possible.
