Andrea Wants to see more vaccines for Morley & Outwood

Tuesday, 12 January, 2021

Today, I asked the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Matt Hancock, about the vaccine distribution programme.

I have been contacted by a number of residents who are concerned about the potential distance between themselves and a vaccination centre. Further, many who are sheilding or vulnerable are anxious to get their vaccination quickly and have asked about the priortisation list.

I am pleased that the Minister confirmed that everybody in Morley and Outwood, along with 96% of everyone in England, is within 10 miles of a vaccination centre. I also welcome that he will note residents' concerns and continue to move at pace to deliver the vaccine in a fair way and in a way that saves as many lives as possible.

Andrea Welcomes Local Covid Vaccine Distribution Hub

Thursday, 21 January, 2021

Very pleased that Pharmacy2U at the Village Hotel in Morley is one of the newly announced 65 pharmacy sites that will be rolling out the COVID vaccines!

This will go a long way to reassuring residents that when they are invited to make an appointment, they can do so locally.
