Andrea Jenkyns visited Statement Exhibitions in Morley to see how the business has grown from its beginnings in a bedroom to their current Morley headquarters.
Statement Exhibitions is a real success story. Six years ago Ryan Austin took a small grant from the Princes Trust and turned it into a thriving, business offering the design and manufacture of bespoke exhibition stands.
Andrea met with Chris Law, the studio manager, to tour the facility. Chris explained how the business has grown, from what a bedroom to a small unit in Beeston and now their current location in Morley. In addition to employing thirteen people, they have now trained an apprentice.
“I was impressed to see the scope of exhibition stands they build and hear how hard work and a committed team led to them winning a Princes Trust regional award two years ago”
“This is evidence of the talented people in our area and the success that can be achieved by making use of the funding opportunities available for new start-ups.”
Andrea is passionate about improving and supporting local businesses. She is aiming to visit one business in the constituency a week, and is pushing ahead with her new High Street Forum and the development of the Morley and Outwood Business Association.
