Andrea Receives Animal Rights Guarantees

In January, I sent the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Michael Gove a letter to support the Battersea Dogs & Cats Home campaign to increase the maximum custodial sentence for the most serious acts of animal cruelty to five years imprisonment. You can see my letter in full on this link: Click me

As a passionate advocate for animal rights I am pleased that the Government is taking a great number of steps forward in this area, and I am very happy that the Department for Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs has said that the legislation needed to increase sentences for animal cruelty will be introduced at the earliest opportunity.
