This morning I visited the White Rose Centre, a great partner of the town of Morley and our area, which creates hundreds of jobs for local residents. It was a good opportunity to see the many achievements of the centre, which in the last years has had a particular focus on sustainability and the environment. The last time I visited, I saw first hand their new project to include solar panels in the rooftop, to create clean energy for the centre. Since then, they also introduced bees on the rooftop, creating a local ecosystem that interacts with the countryside surrounding the site. The centre was awarded just the week before the "Green Apple" award from the Green Organisation in Parliament and I offered the management and the staff my congratulations for this fantastic achievement!
