Andrea & Boris Johnson – Loan Charge Review
Boris Johnson agrees with me that an independent review of the Loan Charge has to take place.
Residents may remember I wrote to our Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, asking him to urgently review the Loan Charge legislation. A number of residents had contacted me regarding this issue and I share their concerns over this retrospective taxation.

I have now received the below response and I am pleased that the Government has commissioned an independent review to be led by Sir Amyas More, the former Comptroller and Auditor General and Chief Executive of the National Audit Office. Many residents are affected by this and I support the measures introduced in July to support those affected prior to the completion of the review.
