One of the top five priorities I have outlined as part of my Towns of the Future campaign is to lower business rates to relieve some of the pressure for existing shops and businesses on our high streets.

Recently, I submitted a written question to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, asking him what plans the Government has to lower business rates.
