National Coal Mining Museum

I visited the Nation Coal Mining museum yesterday and met with the Museum Director Margaret Faull. Margaret has been involed with the NCM for decades and she is very inspirational and her enthusiasm and passion for what she does, really shines through and is quite contagious. She is innovative and is currently looking at a new proposals including a new heat pup system. 
I then went down the mine; kitted with a hard-hat and battery lamp, you really are taken through a history tour of different ages of mining, including Victorian. It is an worth while visit for both adults and children. http://www.ncm.org.uk/visitors/underground-tours
