Jobs Fair – September 7th
Building on the success of previous events, Andrea is holding another Jobs Fair at Morley Town Hall, Friday 7th September 10am – 3pm
As someone who started working life selling pasties at Greggs aged 16 and worked her way up through business and then into politics, Andrea feels strongly about social mobility. The fair will bring together people looking to enter or regain employment with organisations eager to access their talents. In addition there will be free advice and information about providing employment and training.
The event is free and Andrea hopes that it will be an excellent way for job seekers to identify vacancies which meet their talents and ambitions and to make contact with those who can offer them a bright future.
Andrea said:
‘Morley and Outwood have many growing and established businesses, not to mention public service providers, where new jobs and apprenticeships are being created daily. For many who are unemployed, it often remains challenging to find the right opportunities, this is where the Apprenticeships and Jobs Fair can help.
In 2010 the number of unemployed claimants in Morley and Outwood was 2,058 that number in July this year was down to 715 which is great news. It would be good to get this down even further and I hope the Jobs Fair helps this happen”
