Andrea’s Manifesto

Robert Brown will soon be released from custody after serving only half his sentence for the brutal killing of Joanna Simpson.
After hearing Joanna’s friends and family, along with Carrie Johnson and Priti Patel, speak passionately about this at a recent event for the Joanna Simpson Foundation, I have written to Dominic Raab to ask him to look into preventing Brown’s release.
I am proud to support my Hon. Friend Mark Fletcher MP with his bill today. This bill will ensure that registered sex offenders are not able to change their names to escape prosecution & end up working with children. These predators must not be able to access vulnerable children!
Andrea Jenkyns MP & Chief Superintendent Steve Dodds Crime Event
A massive thanks to Chief Superintendent Steve Dodds, Sergeant James Hinchcliffe, and Inspector Mark Gamlin from West Yorkshire Police for attending our public meeting to discuss community concerns about crime and anti-social behaviour. 🚓
I’ll be taking these Neighbourhood Policing Forums around the constituency, so that you can raise localised issues with those protecting our area!
Today I held another round of constituency surgeries with several residents from Morley & Outwood; discussing issues including housing dental care, & illegal immigration.
If you’d like to book a surgery appointment, please contact me on: [email protected]
OUR PLAN FOR MORLEY
Ensuring that our law enforcement agencies have the powers and tools that they need to catch serious, violent, and sexual offenders.
NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH
Dame Andrea was pleased to welcome Chief Superintendent Steve Dodds (District Commander for Leeds), Sergeant James Hinchcliffe, and Inspector Mark Gamlin from West Yorkshire Police to a Neighbourhood Watch Forum at Morley Rugby Club.
Following the reporting of localised anti-social behaviour and targeted house break-ins, Dame Andrea worked with local Neighbourhood Watch groups to reduce crime and increase reporting.
During the forum, West Yorkshire Police provided tips on the effective reporting of crime (both via 999 and via the West Yorkshire Police website) and further crime prevention methods.
Keeping our communities safe is a critical priority for this government, which is why you can now earn as you learn while training as a police officer, opening the profession up to more people.
I am delighted to hear that @WestYorksPolice has recently received not only the best inspection report in its history, but also the best inspection report in the country. That is something to be very proud of.
Congratulations go to @WYPJohnRobins & all the team!
