I was delighted to welcome Lord Callanan, Minister of State for Business, Energy and Corporate Responsibility to CLADE Engineering. CLADE are at the forefront of new sustainable technologies and are an industry leader in heat pump manufacturing. In February I opened their new multi-million pound factory in Gildersome Spur (https://www.andreajenkyns.co.uk/news/andrea-opens-new-engineering-facility) showing their commitment to – and confidence in – our growing local economy.
Investments of this nature also signify that Morley and Outwood’s micro economy is ahead of the trend and future-roofed against the inevitable challenges that the future holds.
I’ll be working with CLADE engineering to ensure that they’re able to grow here in our community and continue to be at the heart of the future of our economy.

It was fantastic to visit Gildersome-based business, Johnsons Hotel Linen, to find out about their £10 million investment into our local economy and to hear all about their recruitment drive to provide well-paid, flexible work for local people.
Really wonderful to visit Cats Protection in Gildersome yesterday, with Clifford. A big thank you to their amazing team for all that they do for our furry friends. They have some beautiful cats that are looking for their forever homes.
