Andrea Welcomes New Police Officers for Our Area
Tougher sentences & cracking down on crime is a key part of My Plan for Morley & Outwood
Therefore, I welcome the boost of 256 additional police officers for West Yorkshire, & am pleased that this is only the first step in the Government’s plans to tackle crime here and across the country, such as giving police officers all the powers and resources they need to protect themselves and others from harm.
These new recruits are a clear message to anyone thinking of turning to crime that we will be out to stop them wherever they are.
Now it is up to West Yorkshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner to ensure these new police officers are recruited as effectively and efficiently as possible and are deployed for maximum impact on our streets.
I look forward to working with the Government and local authorities to ensure our communities are protected and our streets are safe.
