ANDREA JENKYNS
Andrea visits Serif in Drighlington
Technology is a fundamental part of the British economy and it is very relevant in Morley and Outwood too. It was a pleasure today to visit Serif Systems Limited, a company selling IT services to SMEs based in Drighlington. Malcolm, the founder and director, explained to me that his company attracts many talented workers from across the world and they currently host a graduate student from Japan. It was great to see how our competitive service sector can make companies interact with each other and grow simultaneously. The company was founded a quarter of a century ago and some employees have worked there for more than 20 years! It battled through three recessions and is hoping to get Brexit done so that we can unleash the full potential of our economy.
