Andrea speaks to ITV Calendar about the diesel tax

Andrea went on ITV Calendar to discuss the proposed diesel tax in Leeds.

Andrea made her disagreement with the proposed tax explicitly clear, as she felt it would punitively punish drivers, even those with new, clean diesel vehicles. She felt as though a blanket tax would not encourage cleaner air standards, rather it would simply punish hard working individuals who rely on driving to provide goods and services. 

Andrea discussed the encouragement of adopting hybrid vehicles, as is done in Japan, as an option to improve air quality, rather than taxing hard working individuals.
