Andrea Raises Contaminated Blood Inquiry

Today, whilst the inquiry is ongoing in Leeds, I pressed the Government to compensate the victims of the Contaminated Blood Scandal. I asked Jackie Doyle-Price MP, The Parliamentary Under-Secretary for Health and Social Care, to ensure to help those affected by the Contaminated Blood scandal and that their voices are heard.

I am pleased that the Government has confirmed it will be co-operating fully with this inquiry, and that an additional £13 million has been made available for the victims of this issue. I welcome the news that the Government has committed to considering any conclusions that the Inquiry draws, and I am looking forward to seeing the victims here in Morley and Outwood being fully compensated.
