Andrea Opens New Homes in Morley

I was pleased to have been invited back to the Barratt Homes development in Morley to officially open their second phase of homes for sale.

Following my last visit, significant progress had been made in a short space of time thanks to modern building methods- helping to keep disruption to local residents to a minimum and also helping to increase the sustainability and environmentally friendly nature of the development.

It was great to see the animal friendly aspects of the new homes, including a hedgehog walkway, and incentives for wildlife, bats, birds, and insects.

Of course, it was a joy to be shown the new homes by the team, and hear about their features including modern insulation methods that will help protect our environment.

I was pleased to hear that across both the St Andrew’s View development, and this phase (St Andrew’s Place), 120 of the homes have been reserved through the Help to Buy Scheme so far. Home ownership must become more available for more people, this is why – whilst I will always fight inappropriate developments on greenbelt land- we must build more affordable homes and promote home ownership.
