ANDREA JENKYNS
Local students join Andrea for work experience
Andrea was delighted to host 2 young people for work experience in her constituency office.
Brandon Lakin, who is 16 and lives in Wrenthorpe, has just finished his GCSEs at Horbury Academy, near Wakefield. 15 year old Jack Clare is from Morley and about to join Year 11 at Mount St Mary’s in Leeds.
Brandon and Jack were both looking for a flavour of a life in politics and Andrea and her staff were delighted to provide the opportunity.
Brandon said: “It was a very interesting and diverse work experience and always kept me interested in what the next task would be.”
Jack said: “At first I thought all I would be doing is making cups of coffee for lots of moody people but it has been nothing like that. Everyone was really welcoming and I really enjoyed having the amazing and insightful experience. I learnt that a constituency office is nothing like I expected.”
Andrea said: “It was a real pleasure to have two talented and enthusiastic young men working alongside me and my team.”
